Serve God Faithfully

As we enter 2025, we should do so knowing that even though we have crossed into a new year, we continue to serve the same gracious God! In 2025, we need power from God to overcome life's challenges, live a righteous life, and accomplish good deeds that we couldn't achieve on our own. Essentially, supernatural power provides believers with the strength and guidance needed to navigate difficulties, resist temptation, and fulfill our purpose in life.

I was honored to provide the New Year’s message which came from 1 Samuel 12:24. While providing a farewell discourse, Samuel summarized Israel’s obligation of loyalty to the Lord through cultivating a healthy fear of God and serving Him faithfully and wholeheartedly, as the appropriate expression of gratitude for the great things He has done for them.

Like God’s people then, we too should go forward as His elect with hearts that are preoccupied with the wonderful truth that God has done great things for us! Considering this truth, we should express our gratitude to God by fearing Him and serving Him faithfully and wholeheartedly.

Yesterday was truly a blessing for our group! We started the new year with taking our first Communion (the Lord’s Supper), hearing the first sermon for 2025, and witnessing God bring a new convert to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ! What a way to start the new year!
