Free Indeed

God continues to bless our First Sunday Communion Service! Those in attendance (full house!) were encouraged by Jesus’ words to His disciples in John 8:31-32. Jesus promised His disciples a spiritual freedom that comes from obeying His words. The men were reminded that their physical incarceration does not hinder their faith relationship with Jesus Christ nor does it nullify the truth of their salvation. They were also reminded that true disciples of Jesus Christ are eager to abide in Jesus’ teachings as they live under His authority. What a joy to know that as disciples of Jesus we are now free from the bondage of our sinful nature and therefore free to follow the words of Jesus Christ! And what a joy to know that ultimately we are free from the final penalty of sin!

Oh! By the way, God also led one brother to repent and believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ!
