God With Us
What a blessing to begin the Christian Year with Communion (The Lord’s Supper) and a message of hope from Isaiah 7:14. Were were reminded when God used His prophet Isaiah to convey His promise to deliver a king named Ahaz from his enemies. God even gave king Ahaz a sign that He would be with him and the people as they were being threatened by their enemies. God kept His promise. Over the centuries, God would promise to deliver humanity from our greatest enemy - sin. God kept His promise. He sent His only Son Jesus to be born and eventually die on the cross for our sins. Jesus was God in the flesh, dwelling among humanity for the sake of delivering us from the just final penalty for our sins. Our First Sunday Communion Service and message encouraged the men to continue to trust God promises and stand firm in their faith in Jesus Christ, the promised Savior, for their salvation.
To God be the glory!
